“My first name is Paraskevi and I am a Greek woman architect artist. Through the last ten years, I have developed a distinctive artistic technique which forms a unique visual language that invites the viewer into a metaphysical aesthetic experience. Using various sources of inspiration, spanning from Abstract Expressionism and Color Field Painting to Minimalism and Arte Povera, I intend to create a perception as well as an allegory of space by combining continuous lines with abundant colors. My body of work is built up with perplex linear compositions created by gestural lines mainly through an intuitive process. In these paintings the lines are dominant but there is no intention to be structural. Theoretically, via the lines the colors are transformed into the structural part of my artworks.”
